The Me Story
Here are a few pictures of myself during our adventure. I certainly enjoyed my landscape, nature, and wildlife photography, using what I have learned and continuously honing my skills. Don't I look like I should be in National Geographic? :-)
Me and Markus at the Post Office at the End-of-the-World at Tierra Del Fuego National Park

Me and Markus at the End of the World after an almost 8 mile hike

Me and some of my scouting friends waiting for dinner in Ushuaia

Me and Markus getting our gear to go kayaking in Antarctica. Yes, you need to be dressed warm!

Another "National Geographic" moment

Now we are ready to go kayaking

It is COLD kayaking. We had quite the wind going and I am not a kayak expert! If you think I look worried, you are right.

My snow hole for the night on Antarctica. Just add a little windbreaker wall and get into three sleeping bags and two matts and you are fine!

View from my "window". Sleeping under open sky on Antarctica is certainly one of the highlights. Quite a unique experience I would say. This picture is taken around 10:30 PM, by the way!

Me, Markus and the penguins. A whole rookery of Gentoos

Me and my "boy" Markus again, casually floating by an iceberg

Me (very cold) and our little mothership, the Plancius

On our last Zodiac ride I got soaking wet. Thank God to my brand new Jack Wolfskin jacket from Germany

After Antarctica, a group went backpacking in Patagonia. This is the famous Fitz Roy massif.

Another view of Fitz Roy

After a brutal ascent to Laguna de los Tres we were greeted by a spectacular view and increasing wind and clouds.
